Welcome to The Ambler Choral Society website!
We finished the 2012 / 2013 season with an amazing Spring Concert.
We will return to practice with a tentative date for our 2013 / 2014 season rehearsal on September 10th, 2013.

MARK YOUR CALENDAR
Our Winter Concert will be Sunday December 1st, 2013.
Always the Sunday after Thanksgiving.

The Ambler Choral Society  traces its roots back to the community performance of the Messiah at the Wissahickon High School in December of 1979. A number of singers at the concert wished to continue as a choral group, which became known as the Ambler Community Singers. The first concert was presented in April of 1980 with Michael Joy as conductor.  Five years later Mark Daugherty was chosen as conductor.

In order to reflect the style of the music in the concert, the name was changed to Ambler Choral Society.  Some of the major works that have been performed are Handel’s Messiah, Mozart’s Requiem and Coronation Masses, Haydn’s Creation, Brahm’s Requiem, Bach’s Magnificat and St. John Passion, and Bernstein’s Chichester Psalms.

The Ambler Choral Society members have participated in several choral festivals in Europe and most recently in Rome.
